This theory course is a pre-requisite for undertaking the RYA Coastal Skipper practical course and Yachtmaster exams. It will build on your previously acquired navigation knowledge and introduces you to more complex scenarios and situations. Online access is available for six months. At completion, you will have an advanced understanding of charts, tides, weather and collision regulations.
You will be awarded the RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore shore-based course certificate on successful completion of the course material and exam.
Prior navigation knowledge is essential. If you feel you may be a little rusty, please revisit the Day Skipper theory or enquire about the FastTrack theory.
